Edwin de Groote

As CFO, I’m responsible for the business case in the development phase and will be for the financial management of the Green Bay datacenter.

Personally my drive is to leverage my in depth IT and financial skills to contribute to the delivery of the first truly Green datacenter in the Netherlands. I’m convinced that the Green Bay will proof the feasibility to create a cost-effective datacenter, which fully operates on Dutch Green energy.

I have gained over 20 years IT experience in different roles and in different parts of the world. My career varies from program manager, delivering global transformation projects, towards business manager and for the last 10 years owning my own IT Services company.

As global program manager I migrated several large datacenters, for customers like KLM, Maersk and ABN AMRO. For instance I was globally responsible for the datacenter consolidation of several international datacenters into one central datacenter in the Netherlands.

I have a background as industrial engineer (TUE) and completed an MBA degree at Henley Management College (United Kingdom). And last but not least I was actually born and lived for 18 years in the province of Zeeland, where the Green Bay datacenter will be located.
